Yes indeed, with our vast knowledge we will help you to plan your wine trip to Abruzzo from scratch.
Normally plan to spend at least 2.5 hours but that depends on you if you have other plans and on the winemaker and how things evolve. We always suggest to plan to visit a maximum of 2 wineries, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
During your wine tour to Abruzzo, we recommend visiting 2 or maximum 3 wineries in a day, so that you have more flexibility and spend more time speaking with a winemaker and have extra time to stop along the road, for a coffee, visit an ancient village, take some pictures and live the ‘BellaVita’.
Driving in Abruzzo by yourself is pretty straight forward. The only thing you should take into account is that roads in Abruzzo will probably have big turns and go up and down hills, especially when visiting wineries. Are you fine with that? Or you can always ask us to provide a professional driver.
We know the wineries well and we will suggest winemakers that are able to explain in English. If you prefer a mix or Italian, not a problem, just let us know.
We can advise where you can rent one based on where you will be staying. If you need a driver we will provide one.
The alcohol limit is 0.5 grams/liter, if you’re eating and in a day you have 2 glasses of wine, that won’t be usually a problem, but every human-body is different. If you’re doing a wine tour, we always suggest having someone who is not drinking and driving.
“We met at a newly-established bio-winery near Teramo. Nat, one of the proprietors, explained in considerable detail (and excellent English) his approach and philosophy. It was a real pleasure to talk with people who have such a passion for their work and to enjoy with them some of the fruits (pun intended) of their labour. All in all, a very enjoyable visit in a beautiful part of Italy.”Peter & Karen H.California, USA
“Marino, made us discover many treasures of Abruzzo, in particular on the typical products of the region but also the good addresses of restaurants and wine bars! Our experience in Abruzzo would clearly not have been the same without him, a big THANK YOU!”Jimmy & Maureen (Wine Importer & Experts)Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France
